Other than the industries we serve, MRW has little in common with any other combustion company. We design our own pilots, burners, and combustors to work consistently and be long lasting. MRW designs are based on over 250 years of combustion experience, backed by advanced combustion science and rigorous factory testing.
Furthermore, our commitment extends well past installation and commissioning – we promise to provide training and technical assistance, if needed, for the life of the system.

MRW was established in 1992 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the hub of advanced combustion technology. The founders were the pioneers of the combustion industry, designing some of the world’s first tail gas incinerators, loading terminal flares, and thermal oxidizers, dating back to the 1960s. Principals Gene McGill, Bob Rawlings, and Sam Wiley helped start and develop McGill Environmental in the 1980s into a leader of air pollution control equipment.
As a privately owned company, MRW prides itself in supplying equipment for unique applications. Frequently, a standard unit size cannot properly accommodate a particular waste stream or is not optimized for the desired flow. MRW’s agility allows us to create systems suited for each operation. This ability to customize extends to any aspect of the combustion system and helps distinguish MRW as the premier choice for any project.
Since its founding MRW has partnered with a diverse set of world-leading companies to complete cutting edge concept-to-completion projects, both large and small, in many industries. During this time, we have built a reputation of technical excellence, outstanding customer service, on-time deliveries, and integrity. We stand behind our work and are committed to meeting our customers’ requirements. We have a saying that “MRW” stands for “Mine Really Works.”
Finally, we are committed to innovation and the ongoing pursuit to offer our customers better products and services. Our founders hold many patents for combustion systems and processes. As regulations become stricter and facilities become increasingly automated, MRW leads the way in advancing combustion technology.
